What is the North Carolina Defense Machining Initiative?
The North Carolina Defense Machining Initiative evaluates open contractual solicitations for Federal Supply Code 1560 (and others) that are posted on the Defense Logistics Agency's electronic bid board (DIBBS). Open solicitations with sufficient technical data to support bidding and manufacturing operations are identified and posted to sourceNC.com. Through sourceNC.com opportunities are made available to North Carolina machine shops and other North Carolina Aerospace Alliance members. The goal is to help these companies eliminate much of the complexity associated with finding new opportunities, winning more DoD contracts and growing their businesses.
